Our History

Urban Thrift owner Domenic Stante is acutely aware of the environmental impact unused items have on our environment and our society. In fact, his passion led him to purchase Urban Thrift which started as a trendy Thrift Store in NE Calgary back in 2007 “I have always been aware of the importance of buying second hand, so the opportunity to be a part of Urban Thrift it seemed like a great opportunity to further causes that are important to me”. Urban Thrift soon developed a loyal following. It’s boutique like atmosphere makes it one of the most popular second hand clothing shops in Calgary. Urban Thrift carries on that tradition at our new consignment store at 906 Center Street NE. “I wanted to replicate the relaxed boutique atmosphere and interesting decor that we’ve always been known for. but it’s always been our staff that sets us apart. Our stylists offer friendly advice and their attention to detail is what separates us from other stores.”
